1 Sometimes when you write something, you don’t actually recognize the significance of it at the time. For instance, I love that Scout doesn’t make up an entirely fictitious name for herself when she’s with Nick. Despite how much everyone always beats up on her for lying, she’s actually her authentic self with Nick. And yes, I’m just figuring that out now. lol!

2 The original “Shake Shack” is a tiny little place in Southern California. Located on PCH, its situated on the bluffs above Newport Beach. We used to stop there for date shakes whenever we were passing through…which, given that we lived in Newport Beach and my sister lived in Laguna Beach was more often than you might think.
