Rhythm

Hey y’all! Now, of course there was no way that I was going to be around without talking to my babies. Listen, this gender reveal party was about to be off the chain and I must say that I did the damn thing. I had worked my ass off to make sure that everything went without a hitch and I was extremely happy that everyone would finally be finding out what my big sister was having. Of course, I was the only person who actually knew what was cooking in the oven, but I had surprisingly kept my mouth shut and hadn’t even told my crazy ass husband Hood.

As I watched the setting up taking place, I admired all of my leg work. I did have a little crafty side to myself, so the original plan was to do everything instead of hiring and paying someone else to do the decorations, but that went out the window fast. Instead, I hired the hot event planner Shyderia from Shy’s Sweet Treats and Events, so she could take over for me. This morning sickness was finally subsiding, but I was having a few dizzy spells that I had not told anyone about and I did not want to stress my body. Of course, I could not have everything done by the event planner, so I bedazzled some of the center pieces that were on the tables, as well as spray painted a few footballs so that they could be in theme with the expecting parent’s favorite football team. I was extremely happy with the outcome of all of the hard work, but I knew that I would just be doing a baby shower because it was impossible for me to not know what I was having. Even if it was for only two extra weeks.

And yes, I know that Shantel and Kimbella already spilled the beans. But yes, everyone’s little baby was having a baby of her own. I couldn’t tell you just how happy and ecstatic that I was, but I was so ready to just tell Hood, but it had to be special. Thank goodness that both Shantel and Kimbella were able to help me out because later on tonight before the gender reveal party ended, I would be revealing my own surprise to our friends and family. I just hoped that Hood was just as happy as I was!

“Hey Rhythm, is everything exactly where you wanted it?” the event planner asked as I admired her handy work.

“Yesssss, girl, you showed up and showed out! I can’t thank you enough. I know that my sister and her husband will be happy!”

“Thank you for hiring me to make their day even more special; I hope the happy couple get what they want.” She winked because I ended up having to tell her what my sister was having. We had bounced revealing ideas off each other and had decided on the box inside of a box reveal that we had seen on YouTube.
