Chapter Twenty-One

“Damn it’s packed.” Wack thought as he pulled into the church parking lot. He pulled beside a gray Ford Escort and killed his engine. Not really the one to do funerals, Wack sat for a minute so he could prepare himself to get out. A fucked up feeling of guilt came across him. It was the same feeling he had before he burst through the bathroom door and found Yalonda laid out. He thought about how he ran over to her, snatched her up, tossed her over his shoulders, and carried her downstairs into the living room.“Call the paramedics,” he told Trina; she was sitting there smoking a cigarette. When Trina took her time to get up, Wack threatened her, “Bitch, if your daughter die’s, it’s your fault.” Satisfied when Trina picked up her cell to make the call, he began to hit Yalonda on the face, “Wake up,” he told her. She didn’t budge. He tried shaking her, but her head only moved side to side. Blood was everywhere, on his clothes, and continued to come from her arm. Wack took off his red and blue A's jacket. He quickly pulled his polo shirt over his head, and then his T-shirt. He took the T-shirt and wrapped it around Yay's arm.
