Chapter Three

The room went black, and Aaron felt as if he was in free-fall. He grasped tightly to Pyrros and tried to nestle impossibly closer as the demon murmured soothingly. The sensation stopped, and Aaron continued to cling to Pyrros as his stomach finally caught up with the rest of his body.

Pyrros’s warm breath tickled his ear. “You can look now. We’re here.”
