This 1923 photograph displays the Sacramento High School team, the winners of the league championship that year. Although the players are unidentified, it is known that Walter Mails, who pitched for the Sacramento Senators in 1919 and 1920 and was pitching for the Cleveland Indians at that time, coached the team in the weeks prior to him leaving for spring training.
