Chapter 7
Brick
The rage bubbling inside of me, was so powerful that I thought I was going to choke on it. If Kiana thought she could just divorce me and dismiss me like I was just some lame ass nigga. She didnât know her man at all.
Iâd kill a nigga for even looking at her, and she knew that. So, the fact that she thought she could divorce me and be with another nigga was funny to me.
I was out of line for fucking with a bitch that I wouldnât even let wash the tires of my car, but Kiana knew that Charmaine didnât mean anything to me. If she meant something, Iâd be with her and not my wife.
âKiana, youâre really trying a niggaâs patience.â I said to myself as I picked up my phone to call her back. As soon as I grabbed my phone off the coffee table, it started ringing.
Looking at the screen, I saw that it was none other than Mom Dukes. She was the one person that could make me feel better even when I was pissed off. I wanted to go grab Kiana by the throat and choke some sense into her, but how I was feeling right now, Iâd probably go too far.
âWhatâs going on Ma?â I said into the phone not even trying to hide my frustration.
âClifton Goddamn Brick. Is there something you wanna tell me?â My mother Viola said as soon as I answered the phone. Moms was wild like that, she never got on the phone with any manners. But people that didnât really know her swore she was sweeter than candy.
All I could do was shake my head because anytime she called my name like that, I already knew it was about to be some drama. Kianaâs mother Avalon, never cursed, or swore in any way, shape, or form.
But, Viola Brick cursed like a sailor. Sentence enhancers were my momâs favorite words. If her sentence didnât contain the words, shit, damn, fuck, or that bitch. The conversation wasnât even worth listening too.
âWhat are you talking about Mrs. Viola Brick?â I asked. I was ready to get off the phone and get back to my wife. If I let too much time slip, her ass might try to divorce me for real.
âSo, you mean to tell me you didnât learn from the first time? You mean to tell me youâre still fucking with that bitch?â Ma asked.
âMa, what are you talking about?â I asked. I wasnât in the mood for her shit especially if she wasnât going to cheer me up.
âThat bitch Charmaine, had the nerve to bring her treacherous ass to my house. Talking about, âcan we talk?â. I was like âhell no. I donât talk to scandalous hoes.â She then blurts out that the baby in her stomach belongs to you. So Iâma ask your ass again. Is there something you want to tell me?â
All I could do was sigh. Of all bitches I couldâve fucked, I couldnât figure out why I fucked her.
