First Meetings

The day started out like any other within the city of Toledo. It was a warm summer day, the sort that people could spend outside and enjoy their time outside with the oppressiveness of the sun beating down with its heated will. The breeze blowing across the great lakes of the north billowing out, blanketing the entirety of the city in a breeze southward that cooled the earth, cooled steel and asphalt, but did little to cool the raging passion that burned within the heart of the people who lived and breathed.

Temperature wise, things were comfortable for everyone on this glorious July evening. Blue skies, soft fluffed clouds, and ambivalent mood of contentment surrounded all who busied themselves along the various Boroughs of the city, from the suburbs to deep within the downtown districts where people of a business mind lived and thrived. It was on this particular day that no one truly thought things would change much. No one certainly would have had the forethought of mind to even guess new adventures of a relationship kind would have happened, or at least allow for things to change in a manner that made things more exciting and pulled themselves out of a dreary state.

Delilah Le'Martis certainly didn't think much of that in any regards. To her, beautiful day or not, it was still just another day. Not that it bothered her at all that it was just another day, as she did enjoy her job, but she didn't truly give it much thought. She woke, showered, groomed, dressed, walked down from her studio apartment down below to her actual studio, opened the doors to her Art Gallery and Boutique, and prepared for that day's work. She intended for the most part to sit, paint, and sketch while her assistant guided in patrons, customers, and other rubbernecking people into the main hall where her pieces were displayed for all to purchase, either through the internet perusal or through the age-old acquisitions of window shopping from people wandering by.
