Jacob apologized because he thought he should have, but he didn’t

feel a bit remorseful. Hell, he was dying to start back up from where they stopped off and see where things could go from there between the two of them.

“No, it wasn’t all your fault,” Sienna said, sitting up next to him. “I have been wondering how it would feel to kiss you too.”

Yes! I knew she was attracted to me too.

Jacob removed his arm and watched as Sienna fixed her sweater, then pulled her knees up to her chest, resting her chin on them. “I have a bad habit of jumping in feet first and thinking last. I’m as much to blame as you are for what occurred between the two of us.”

Sitting up, Jacob stared at the side of Sienna’s beautiful face. He couldn’t believe she was trying to dismiss what happened between them as a personality flaw on her part. He wasn’t going to let her pretend it could be something that wouldn’t be repeated over and over. He loved the taste of her mouth. It was sweet, unique and definitely worth tasting again.

Sure, they had only known each other for a couple of hours, but he

sensed that this prodigious attraction between them could lead to something deeper. “Sienna, look at me.” He patiently waited while Sienna slowly turned away from the fire and looked at him with her big, seductive brown eyes.

“I lied to you earlier.”

A frown marred her perfect forehead. “What? she said. “I don’t understand.”

“I’m really not upset that I kissed you. I’m thinking about doing it again if you allow me to.” Jacob leaned into to recapture Sienna’s lips for another kiss, but she moved her head away.

“We shouldn’t.” She sighed, clearly torn between what her mind was telling her and what her body was pushing her to do instead. “We barely know each other.”

“Okay, let’s fix that problem so we can move on to the good stuff.

What more do you want to know about me?” Jacob asked. He was willingly to share with Sienna if that meant she would be more 35
