Drake groaned as he laid on the mat and I grabbed my cool water bottle.

“Drake, I don’t think I can train with you anymore. I know all your techniques and moves, I need to work with someone else,” I bragged as I tried to help him on his feet.

Drake huffed and crossed his arms after I pull him up.

“I am a great trainer, thank you very much!” Drake sneered, insulted by my request.

“I never said you weren’t. All I am trying to say is that I know you too well. Maybe I should work with someone who will surprise me? Just for today,” I added in my plea.

Drake seemed to think about it before nodding stiffly.

“Who do you want to train you then?” Drake moped.

I shrugged with a silly grin on my face. I didn’t think he was going to agree. I looked around the room and saw everyone else training with a partner. I didn’t want to interrupt anyone’s training sessions. Adam and Tony were training with Tanya while Luke was being a referee for the fight in front of me.

I watched with fascination as I witnessed Jay and Jared go hand to hand against each other. I tried to resist the urge to look at Jay’s chest that was gleaming in the light as he started to get the upper hand. Maybe I can ask—

“I think I can handle this one, Drake,” Drake looked behind me and gave me a mischievousness smile. I turned to see Eric with his arms crossed, a small grin on his face.

“Good luck, Clara!” Drake sang before going over to where everyone else was training.

I eyed Eric expectantly and cautiously. I was not going to make the mistake of underestimating Eric. I’d seen him fight before and I had a bad feeling.

I shook off my nerves, remembering the training Jared taught me. I could do this.
