Chapter 16

“One chance. But, I need you to swear to me you won’t disappear again.” I rest my head on his chest. “I thought you were gone for good.”

“I swear.” Andrew breathes the words into my ear and kisses my neck. “I’ve missed you so much.”

“I missed you, too.” I stand on my toes and wrap my arms around his neck as I kiss his jawline.

Andrew wraps his arms around my waist, and in a bear hug, he lifts my feet off the ground. “Thank you, Hannah.”

“Would you let me come over tonight?” Andrew sets me down and leaves his hands lingering on my waist.

The thought of him coming over is really enticing, my body immediately responds. But there is still a moment’s hesitation. I was just so angry at him, it’s difficult to just let that go.

“Ok.” I give him a small smile and he softly kisses my lips.

Andrew follows me to my apartment, and I park in my spot. I wait for him to find one further down the block. I step out of my car as I notice he’s walking up and he takes my hand as I step out of the vehicle.

Walking to the driver’s side, he closes the car door behind me. Andrew presses my body against the cold metal. His hands on my hips and his mouth is overtaking mine. Car lights shine on us, and we laugh as we walk hand in hand up the steps to my building. The door closes behind us, and we go up to the entryway stairs.

As we walk up the worn wooden treads, Andrew distractedly plays with the hem of my shirt. We reach the landing, and I turn right to my doorway. He presses his body against mine from behind. I slide the key into the lock and push open the door. Laughing, I tilt my head back to receive a kiss. He obliges me before he grips my waist and playfully pushes me into the apartment.

I walk toward the bed letting my hips sashay from side to side, knowing he’s watching me. I turn to him and tease off my pants, sliding them down slowly. Andrew walks toward me, a smile on his lips and hunger in his eyes. He takes off his shirt but stands back a few paces, nodding for me to continue.

Biting my lip, I grab the bottom of my shirt and pull it over my head. While my face is briefly obscured, he takes the opportunity to walk up and trace both of his hands on my abdomen. Andrew turns me around and presses himself to me so his body is conformed to mine. I can feel his arousal through his pants as his hands wrap around my body. My head lolls to the left, and he takes the opportunity to kiss my neck as his hands move over my skin. Wherever his hands trace, they leave behind a line of fire, igniting my need for him.

“I want you,” I whisper as I reach up with my left arm and grab his shoulder.
