Information and imagination

The Age of Imagination is, in a sense, the association of smart thinking with the brutal production of information under current Big Data standards and artificial intelligence mechanisms. We live in an age in which, without exaggeration, information is always available – all of it. Our current means of communication made it possible for information to be available to all, everywhere and at all times – a quantitative resource.

The way we look at this information, however, is the trigger for value creation as well as for new ventures. Thinking about the future is no longer the portrait of an inventor stuck in a garage, making plans that only he can understand. Thinking about the future is looking at all the information we have in a different way – and associating the knowledge acquired through them to the problems and dilemmas that we live in our daily lives.

And, from this particular view of information, create values and benefits – not only on an individual but on a social scale. According to the advocates of the Imagination Age, the human capacity to imagine and create mental models from information is the new engine of the economy itself.

When we think of the features and the very business model of the most successful companies in the world today, the concept becomes even clearer:
