VANILLA CASHEW HEMP MILK
HEMP SEEDS HAVE A VERY EARTHY FLAVOR THAT I LIKE TO BALANCE OUT WITH THE CASHEWS, VANILLA, AND SWEETENER. THE GREAT THING ABOUT USING CASHEWS AND HEMP SEEDS IS THAT THERE IS VERY LITTLE TO NO PULP LEFT AFTER BLENDING. NO NEED TO STRAIN WITH A NUT MILK BAG UNLESS YOU WANT A LIGHTER MILK.
PREP TIME: 5 MINUTES
MAKES 4 CUPS.
1/2 cup (110 g) cashews
1/2 cup (110 g) hemp seeds
4 cups (940 ml) water
1/4 teaspoon liquid stevia or sweetener of choice
1/2 vanilla bean, scraped or 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon sea salt (optional)
Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
Shake before using.
