“Wow, I look…”

“Like a maid no more but the kick Vampy ass Princess you truly are… man a mundo, how much would I love to see the look on his face when he sees you for the first time. I bet he will tent his breachers!” Pip said making me choke on a laugh.

As for her comment, this was down to me now being dressed in one of Sophia’s finest dresses. As thankfully for her, she kept her wardrobes stocked with the latest fashions in each home they owned. A frivolity I was happy to exploit considering all I had was this days-old, worn maid’s outfit and a pair of washed once panties.

As for Lucius, he had insisted I get ready for the evening in his own chambers and before I had chance to convince him otherwise, male servants were entering his room. Then I watched as they each gathered items of clothing and what I gathered was what he was intended to wear for the evening. After this he walked over to me, kissed me on the forehead and told me affectionately,

“Tonight, Sweetheart.” Then he left, along with who I assumed was my father’s footmen. Shortly after this a bath was brought in the room, along with maids carrying jugs of hot water. None of them said a word to me but this didn’t mean I didn’t gain some evil looks. Not that I cared, as I didn’t know any of these people and neither did I give a damn what they thought of me. Despite what I had said to Lucius on many occasion, giving him this as an excuse, using it more than once.

But clearly, this bath was intended for me to use and I had to admit, I was more than ready for it. Washing with a scrap of cloth out of a cold bowl wasn’t exactly an experience I would ever miss. Nor was using the chamber pot. No, I was just thankful I wasn’t on my damn period or that would have made this more like a trip back to Hell!

No thankfully, I had gotten that delightful time of the month out of the way before Christmas and when I say delightful, I mean it in the most sarcastic sense of the word as obviously it always sucked to be a woman for this week. And I was not even going to begin to describe what it was like during this time while being married to a Vampire!

Nope, not going there.

It had to be said though, that I had started to panic slightly after being done with the bath and worrying that I would be joining the rest of the dinner party dressed as a maid. However, the moment Pip slipped in the room carrying one of Sophia’s dresses, it felt as if my prayers had been answered. Even more shocking was that Pip told me this request had been made by my father, who I suspected had first come from Lucius.
