CHAPTER 24

CHEYENNE

“But Xavier, wait,” I mocked Passion as she came in the house.

“Fuck you hoe!”

“Ugh attitude,” I said walking up the stairs. I went in my room and laid down across my bed. I was tired as hell after doing all that inventory. Today has been too long of a day and all I wanted to do was get some rest. But as soon as I closed my eyes, my phone rang.

“Hello,” I said agitated.

“I know you wasn’t sleep,” Cain said on the other end.

“Almost, why, what’s up?”

“Well wake that ass up. We got business to take care off. Unc ready to handle that.”

“Right now? It’s almost 12.”

“Time waits on nobody lil sis. Where you tryna meet?” he asked and I rolled my eyes.

“Damn, at the warehouse. But I’ma need an hour because I got to shower.”

“Aite one,” he said before hanging up. I sat up in the bed and kicked my heels off. I stripped out of my clothes and walked to the bathroom to turn the shower on hot.

After I got out the shower, I dried off and put on some black leggings, a white and black tee shirt, and my white Jordan 11’s. I grabbed Eli’s white and black snapback, my black Donna Karan tote, and car keys. I checked on Passion and then set my alarm before getting in my car.

On the way there, I called the crew to meet me. I didn’t want to call Butta because all he ever talks about is us. No matter how many times I’ve told him there was never an us or there will never be an us, he was still holding on to hope. Instead of calling him, I said fuck it. I didn’t have time for his ass tonight.

I pulled up to the warehouse and got out of the car. When I walked in… the room was really quiet and separated. Spit and the crew were on one side while Hill and his boys were on the other. Spit looked at me and shook his head. He didn’t like the fact that we were involving police in the mix, but he wasn’t looking at the big picture. I was just trying to cover our tracks. Hill know to only bring me men he could trust. Besides, they was about to get patted down anyway, so I wasn’t worried 'bout nothing.

“Ch-” Hill was about to call me when Spit cut him off. “Queen, call her Queen. We ain’t using no other names,” he said and Hill looked at me. I smirked and shrugged my shoulders.

“Queen, I would like you to meet Detective Brooks, Sergeant Powell, and the officer I was telling you about, Officer Cobbs,” Hill introduced us.

I looked at Spit and nodded. He told Man-Man, Trigga, and Butta to pat them down. I wanted to know if they were wearing a wire or had any devices that could record. I had them put their phones in a bag until the meeting was over. I wasn’t taking any chances.
