Chapter 14

Eve

Idrop my keys onto the desk, hearing Will shut the bedroom door behind us. I feel him press his body against my back as his arms wrap around my hips. He lightly runs his fangs down my neck and I instantly feel a familiar heat spread throughout my body. It’s moments like this when my doubts always fade. It’s times like this that I feel in my heart that Will is my person.

“How did things go with Sage?” he whispers in my ear.

“It went well. I was able to fix things with her without telling her too much. I’m really glad. I missed her.” I reach my arm up and around Will’s neck, pulling him closer.

He lightly kisses my cheek.

“I’m happy that you guys are on good terms again. I know that was eating at you. How was lunch with Katrina?”

“It was good, aside from Jarek announcing his presence.” I roll my eyes.

“Is he an idiot?” Will asks as I turn around to face him. I wrap my arms around his shoulders and shrug.

“No, I just think he likes to be a prick. But it doesn’t matter because he said she knows. I don’t know how he knows that for sure, but he is convinced that she could smell demon on both of us. But it makes zero sense because wouldn’t she have sensed that on me weeks ago?”

Will eyes me for a moment.

“What?” I ask.

Will shakes his head. “Nothing, just thinking. I’m sure it’s fine. Even if she did know, Katrina wouldn’t say anything to anyone. I’m just glad you’re back. I missed you tonight.”

“I missed you, too.” I stand on my toes to reach my lips to his.

Will licks my bottom lip, asking for entrance. Our mouths move in unison, the rhythm matching perfectly. I lightly scratch at the back of his neck, feeling his cold skin under my fingers. I kiss down his jawline, knowing exactly what I want. I work my way down his neck and smirk up at him as I lower to my knees. The look on his face is primal and intense. Those tiny black veins that I have grown to love are covering his translucent skin, and it sends chills down my entire body.

I settle on my knees as I unzip Will’s jeans, feeling his hard member as my hand brushes against it. I take him into my hand and hear a guttural moan escape his lips as I move up and down, careful not to grip too tight. I look up at him as I slowly take all of him into my mouth, hearing him growl as he entwines his fingers into my hair. He lightly moves in and out of my mouth and the way he looks down at me turns me on even more.

“Fuck, Eve,” he moans. I continue to work his dick and suddenly, he stops me. “Get up, now.”

I listen and stand. Before I know it, he has lifted me into the air and has wrapped my legs around his waist.
