LION

Is this the place? It is just a well full of water.

FOX

That is only what it appears to be; but look inside and you will see the I spoke off.

WOLF

I can only see my reflection in the water inside the well.

LEOPARD

Me too. I can only see my reflection.

ELEPHANT

Me too. I wag my ears and the reflection does the same.

LION

Me too. I wag my tail and my reflection does the same. Look FOX , are you sure you are not just making fools of us all ?

FOX

You are all definitely being tricked, but not by me. The well is actually dry, and there is no water inside it. But those intruders that you see in the well are skilled magicians and so they are easily able to deceive you that they are your reflections. I assure you all that what you see in that hole are not your reflections but certainly the intruders.

LION

In that case, let us go inside and get them.

( LION roared; and they all jumped inside the deep well . )

WOLF, LEOPARD, ELEPHANT

(Shouting from inside the well) Help! Help ! We are drowning. Help!

FOX

(Laughing) That will teach them and their King LION that it is bad to eat other people. Now that they are gone there will be peace in the forest.
