Yeah. Can’t have that. There is almost no limit to the steps the U.S. government will take to prevent ransoming for American citizens. Effectively. We call it “no concessions.” It’s not that we won’t negotiate, not that ransom can’t be paid, but the transaction will not terminate the way the ransom-takers want it. My guess is she probably said enough. And my suggestion is that perhaps the Somali pirates would do well to read Plutarch and remember Caesar.
