4 cups (two 15-ounce cans) cooked chickpeas, drained and rinsed if using canned

1 cup vegetable or chicken broth

¼ cup golden raisins

3 large carrots, peeled and cut into ½-inch rounds

3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro or parsley

Israeli (or regular) couscous, cooked, for serving
