Spoon 1 cup of the sauce into a 10 x 6 baking dish. Break the eggs, one at a time into the baking dish. Carefully spoon the remaining sauce around the eggs. Stand the french bread slices up around the casserole dish like a crust. Bake for 20 minutes or until the eggs are set. Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle the parsley over the top.

Cheese Strata

Makes 6 servings

Ingredients

8 slices stale bread

2 cups sliced cheddar cheese

4 eggs

2 1/2 cups whole milk

1 tbs. dried minced onion

1 1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. yellow prepared mustard
