Bright sunlight from the window awakened Crystal the next morning. Stretching, she winced at the soreness between her legs, then smiled as she remembered why she was sore.

“Mmmm,” she moaned, opening her eyes and sitting up in Brendon’s California king bed. She glanced around but didn’t see him anywhere.

Swinging her legs over the side, she gingerly stood up, hissing as the well-earned aches from last night made themselves known. Although Brendon vigorously worked her during their workouts, last night she’d used muscles and contorted her body in whatever positions she could to get as much satisfaction as she could.

Walking slightly hunched over and slowly, she made her way to the master bathroom to relieve herself, and found a surprise. She walked over to the extra-large jacuzzi tub that was filled with bubbles and dipped her hand in to test the water. Finding it just shy of boiling, her favorite temp, she groaned in appreciation.

As quickly as her muscles would allow, she stepped into the tub and lowered herself into the water, hissing at the initial sting. As her body adjusted to the heat, she leaned back and laid her head on the soft bath pillow, sighing in bliss as she stretched her legs and the heat seeped into her bones. She closed her eyes, a smile drifting over her face.

“I wasn’t sure when you would wake up, so I started the bath when you started moving around in the bed.” Brendon’s husky voice reached her ears.

Crystal’s smile grew even larger, but she still didn’t open her eyes. “Thank you, this is much needed.”

“That’s my fault. I’m sorry for being so, um…rough…last night,” he said, remorse in his tone.

Crystal’s eyes slowly opened and she frowned at Brendon. “Don’t apologize for anything that happened last night. Last night was everything I wanted and didn’t even know I needed. It was beyond anything I could have imagined. No need to apologize.”

He walked over to her, his swagger drawing her eyes to his Adonis belt displayed by the grey sweatpants that hung off his hips. He wore no shirt and his well-defined pecs and washboard abs made her mouth water. She recalled that at some point last night, her tongue had traced every groove and dip on his torso.

“Crys?” he said loudly, waving a mug of coffee underneath her nose.

She blinked out of her daze and reached for the mug. She hadn’t noticed him walking with it. Taking a tentative sip, she groaned at the sweet taste of the Cinnabon-flavored coffee.

“Thanks,” she murmured, taking another sip.

He waved off her thanks. “How are you feeling, besides sore?”

Crystal placed the mug on the tub’s grey marble platform. She tilted her head to the side, observing him from beneath her lashes. “I feel like the luckiest woman in the world,” she answered him quietly.

The smile that covered his face, outlined by his full goatee, made her heart skip a beat, then work double time to recover.

Brendon sat down on the lip of the tub and leaned over to kiss her.
