I knew today was going to be full of surprises, but I didn’t want this type of surprise. I couldn’t believe this was happening. How could Thomas be missing, especially when I had two people watching over him. I guess I should had listened to Carla and kept him and Cristina in the house; that way he wouldn’t have been in trouble.

After informing Elise and Cheryl of what happened, the two, along with Jared and Marcus rushed over to the house. I already knew Pat had called Jennifer, because now she was there, along with my dad, which honestly, was a little awkward.

I left everyone there as I went to the ice cream shop where Pat and Sam were. Carla came along so she could be with Cristina while Jennifer also came. I really didn’t want to be bothered with her, but I knew she was also concerned about him, so I had to put my feelings to the side for now.

“How did this happen? And why didn’t anyone tell me that Pat and Sam were taking Thomas anywhere?” Jennifer asked.

“I assumed your sister would have told you,” I said.

Pat gave a crazed look and I gave her an apologetic one.

Jennifer sighed and looked ahead at the shop window. “I can’t believe this. Anything could have happened to Thomas.”

“Don’t think like that. We’re going to find him.”

“You two should have been watching him.”

“And what about you? Too busy screwing someone to know where your son is.”

Jennifer was about to attack me when Pat held her back.

“Don’t start, Kevin!” Jennifer yelled.

“It’s the truth isn’t it?”

“Okay, you both need to calm down. This isn’t helping get Thomas back,” Sam said.

I sighed. He was right. I glanced at Jennifer, who was crying. I looked over at Carla who was hugging Cristina, who was also in tears. I went over to Pat, who gave me a sad look.

“I really don’t know what happened, Kevin. We were sitting down eating when he mentioned he had to go to the restroom. Since we were able to see them, we said it was okay for him to go by himself. That was the last time we saw him.”

I sighed. Even though where they were seated were near the restroom, someone should have still gone with him. Too much shit is happening nowadays, so he needed to be watched at all times.

“Don’t blame yourself for this Pat. We just have to figure out what happened.”

“We already told the security guard what happened, so they should be notifying the police in a little while,” Sam said.

“Why not now?! He could be hurt or dead and we wouldn’t even know,” Jennifer yelled.

“Mommy?”

We looked over and saw Thomas carrying a Transformer action figure. I was happy to see my son, but the person he was with was making me about to catch a case real quick.

“What the hell are you doing with my son?!” I yelled.

Alicia smiled as if nothing was going on. She took Thomas’ hand and he slowly moved away from her.
