Makes 1 loaf

This is one of those recipes that is so simple to make, but has an impressive end result. Avoid the temptation to buy precut fresh pineapple at the store; it costs more and it comes in wasteful single-use plastic. Instead, dive in and cut it yourself; there are plenty of tutorials online and you’ll find when you do it the first time, you’ll finish and wonder, “Why haven’t I been doing this all along?” Have fun braiding the dough and make your pattern as pretty or as intricate as you want!
