Chapter Six

Jas was a bundle of nerves when she stepped off the bus in Savannah on Saturday morning. She’d been on the bus for the past seven hours and was glad to be able to finally be able to stretch her legs. She sat down her bags and took her compact mirror out of her purse. Ericka was supposed to be picking her up from the bus station and she wanted to be sure that she was looking good. She’d taken her time choosing her outfit the night before. She’d chosen a pair of black leggings, a black and grey sweater dress and a pair of grey stiletto ankle boots. She looked in the small mirror and smoothed her hair down as best she could. Then she took out her lip gloss and applied a little bit to her lips.

“You don’t have to do all of that. You look beautiful just the way that you are.” She heard Ericka say from behind her. She spun around and was face to face with the woman that had stolen her heart over a year ago and who’d occupied her thoughts for the past six months. She was standing there smiling wearing a black leather jacket, a pair of dark blue jeans and a pair of black Tims. “Are you just going to stand there and stare or are you going to show me some love?”

She nearly ran and jumped in Ericka’s arms. They hugged for several minutes before letting go of each other.

“Oh my goodness, look at you!” Jas said running her fingers through Ericka’s dreads. “Your hair has gotten long as shit! You look so good!”

Ericka blushed. “You look really good as well. You look like you’ve gained a few pounds.” She stepped back so that she could get a good look t her. “Spin around and let me get a good look at you.”

Jas did a slow spin allowing Ericka to get a really good look of what she was working with. The way that she looked at her told her that she liked what she was seeing. That made her feel like the sexiest woman alive.

“You like?” She asked smiling.

“No…I love.”

They carried Jas’s things to the car and headed back to Ericka’s place.

“Did you want to get something to eat before we go to the house?” Ericka asked.

“Nah, I’m good.” They talked during the drive to the house. When they got there Jas put her things in the bedroom and then the two of them decided to take a walk. As they walked Jas told Ericka what she’d been up to for the past six months. She shared with her the details of her and Casey’s relationship and the nasty fight that they’d had a few days ago.

“All of your relationships seem to end in a fight.” Ericka teased referring to how they had ended six months ago.

“Yeah…I guess you’re right.” Jas agreed.

Ericka stopped walking she knew that it was time to turn up the heat a little. She only had a few days to get Jas right where she wanted her.
