Chapter Nineteen
She Said It’s Your Child
Asia
“Let me guess, that was Des?” RayRay asked, as I hung up the phone.
“You knew she’d be the first person I call at a time like this. I can’t believe that bitch just walked up to the front door with the baby in her hand talking about meet your daddy! It’s a way to do everything; she could have called you up and told you that it’s a possibility that you may be the father—I could respect that, but this bitch tried to be all cocky and bold as hell!”
“Come on A, this is exactly what she wants; she’s waiting for us to fall apart, but we stronger than that, besides this was before you!”
“So what you trying to say nigga? There’s a possibility this kid could be yours? That baby is three months old, and we been together for over eight months; now you do the math, and explain to me again how that works?”
“What I’m trying to say is that I love you more than life itself and I don’t want to lose you. I think this is a test of our love; I know we will get past this and even if that is my child, that won't change anything between us. I know you love kids; I see how good you are with Ameera! I’m sure you could learn to love my child, she is a beautiful lil girl!”
“Now look at you; you sound like you have already accepted the fact she’s yours, you sure you even need a test?”
Tears started to run down my face, and RayRay grabbed me. He held me tightly and gently wiped the tears away.
“Don’t cry A, this is not going to come between us I promise. As far as Kishauna goes, I’ll have to let her know she has to respect you no matter what; her ass ain’t gonna just come by whenever she feels like it, she definitely is not going to hold this baby over my head!”
“I know baby, I’m not trying to take this out on you; I just wanted to be the first to bear your child, I didn’t expect for it to be like this!”
“She may not even be my baby; you getting all upset over nothing, she was so sure her ex was the father, now we just have to wait and see what this test shows.”
“You’re right baby; it’s just a whole lot to take in at one time, that’s all.” I leaned over, kissing him gently. After a few minutes, one thing led to another and we made love, and it was oh so good. Oh God, how I love this man; I just hope this baby is not his! We feel into an exhausted sleep, holding each other as if we were afraid to let go.
The next morning Ray Ray woke me up with breakfast in bed. “Morning A you deserve to be pampered after yesterday. I don’t like to see you cry; you know I would never do anything intentionally to hurt you, I’m so sorry we have to go through this.
