Instead, she went on all fours and locked eyes with me.

She seemed satisfied by whatever agony she saw in my gaze.

My bones broke, then reformed, wanting to take on my savage wolf’s shape but the magic binding me wouldn’t allow me to shift.

The result left me with devastating pain that did little to numb my rage as the silver-haired Alpha slammed into her and her sweet little mouth parted on a groan.

“More,” she said, still watching me.

Still pleased by my suffering.

Snarling, I turned to Shadow to see if he could help me, but he was likewise transfixed and trembling with rage.
