Chapter Eleven
Princess
June 23, 2014
“Damn bitch! Had I known shit was gonna get real like that, I would’ve stayed the night at your house. That bitch is becoming a real problem!” Reesee exclaimed as we rode down the street in my champagne-colored Escalade.
“Nah, she ain’t becoming a real problem, she’s already one. I had to let that bitch know that next time she come barking up this tree, she’s gonna catch a fucking bullet.”
“Oh Lord! That bitch done brought the old Princess back. Ain’t nobody got time to be bailing you out of jail, honey ‘cause I ain’t got it like that. This shit is getting out of hand.” Reesee shook her head in disgust.
“Demonte gotta be fucking that girl for her to be doing all this! For instance, how the fuck did she know where I lived? Not only that, I told the nigga to get the fuck out, and he just left. He didn’t even try to fight for me. I bet he went right over there to her crib. He didn’t even come home last night.”
“Oh, hell nah! I don’t know what’s going on with Doja and this chick, but we can find out. Just follow his ass and you’ll know exactly what he’s doing,” Reesee suggested.
As crazy as it may have sounded, I actually took the idea into consideration, but decided that I wasn’t going out like that. If I had to do all that to be able to trust a nigga, then maybe I needed to reconsider the relationship I was in. A part of me wanted to know what was going on, but a part of me still wanted to trust my man. I didn’t want to come to the realization that I had wasted nine years of my life giving my all to a man who would throw it all away on a non-motherfuckin’ factor.
I pushed all those thoughts to the back of my mind when I pulled up to a house in Cavalier Manor in Portsmouth. It was time for business, and when it came down to that, I set personal matters aside. Reesee and I stepped out of the car and walked up to the trap house. Before I even got a chance to knock on the door it opened.
“If it ain’t my two favorite girls! What’s good, sis?” Kevin greeted me with a hug before he embraced Reesee.
“Nothing much, bro. You know it’s about that time again,” I said, referring to re-up time.
I had known Kevin for years even before I met Doja. We went to elementary school together, and he was really like a big brother to me. He dropped out of high school and became the plug. At first he was reluctant about selling to me, but in his eyes he would rather I get it from him than have me deal with anybody else. He knew the situation with my mom struggling to make sure my sister and I had everything we needed by herself, so he understood why I wanted to help her out.
