“I’ll be by around seven,” Kash said, parking in front of my home.

“That’s fine,” I nodded about to get out of the car. Kash grabbed my arm stopping me and pulled me to kiss him.

“Goodnight, love.”

“Goodnight, Kash,” I replied, getting out of the car. I was still tense about the whole female earring thing but since he hasn’t lied to me before or given me a reason to doubt him, I was putting my trust into my man. I don’t care about who or what was before me, as long as it doesn’t involve anything during me.

I got out the car and Kash waited until I was safely inside of the house with the door locked before he pulled away. My cousins and little sister were in the living room with the lights off when I entered. I didn’t bother them, but instead went in search for my mother. I knocked before entering her room where she was straightening my auntie’s hair the old school way. “You just now are getting in?” my mom asked, as I kicked off my sneakers and climbed into her bed getting comfortable.

“Yes and I need some advice,” I sighed. I wasn’t used to being with a man like Kash or dating period. I was more of a woman who worked and was too busy for all of the other stuff.

“Well, I’m surprised to see it took you this long,” she told me.

“Did he do something?! Just because I’m little and cute doesn’t mean I’m not serious! When I said I would have his head with some Fufu and stew I meant that!” My auntie got riled up, making me laugh.

“No, no, Kash is fine. He treats me like a queen,” I told them. “I don’t know... I just sometimes feel like he’s pretending” I told them. It was weird, I really liked Kash. He’s such an amazing and loving man. I see something special in him and by the way women look at him I know I’m not the only one who sees it. Kash Ryan is the type of man that demands attention, when we are out he gets just that. I see the way the women look and lust after him. When I’m around he doesn’t notice or care about it. But what happens when I’m not there? Is he fucking every girl that gives him a chance?

“That man is treating you like a Queen because you are a Queen, Aza. Never think you deserve less,” Aunt Noonie told me.

“A smart man knows how to play his hand, Chile. From what you told me about that Mr. Kash he is a very smart man. I saw the way he looks at you. He really does value you and you deserved to be held on the highest pedestal,” My mother said. “Let that man love you, Aza and give you himself. You love and give him yourself until he shows you not too.”

“That’s exactly right. Love is a beautiful thing, niece... Just don’t let love make you blind.
