3.2.4.5 Recognition of Foreign Maritime Liens

German rules on recognition of foreign maritime liens are centred on Art. 45 (2) EGBGB (Einführungsgesetz zum Bürgerlichen Gesetzbuche—German Introductory Act to the Civil Code) with a surprisingly liberal lex causae approach.
