CHAPTER 7

THREE YEARS LATER

Life was good. Finally. Things were finally back to the way they normally were. My mother had made a full recovery and for that I was grateful. Everybody was grateful. Including my father. Their bond grew even stronger. He was at home before 7pm every single night. They were inseparable. He was always there for her and took care of her like a husband should always do for his wife. My dad was by her side through everything. Every doctor’s appoint, every single therapy session, everything.

KJ and I were living together. I had recently graduated from the University of Louisville and was attending Johns Hopkins Medical School. KJ had been drafted by the Baltimore Ravens about three years ago and was a starting linebacker and I couldn’t have been happier. Our wedding was set for next year and slowly but surely our wedding plans were being set.

One day we were at a party being held by one of his teammates. I was hanging out with a group of women known as the Fiancés!! It was crazy because there were five different groups of women. The wives, fiancés, girlfriends, side chicks/mistresses and then the baby mamas. I was in the fiancé group. The groups of women didn’t even interact with each other. I was okay with that though.

KJ walked up to me with a glass in his hand. “You straight?” he asked. “Yes. I’m good” I replied. “We gonna leave out of here in about ten minutes or so. I’m trying to find Lance to tell him we are gone. Go get your purse and coat” he said leaning forward and giving me a kiss on the lips. Twenty minutes later we were in the back of the Escalade that we rented to drive us to the party.

I kicked my shoes off and sat back to relax for the long ride home. KJ reached over and grabbed my hand. “Thank you for coming out to the party with me” he said. I looked up at him and could tell that he was drunk. “No problem baby. I like Lance. He’s cool” I said. He leaned forward and kissed me. It wasn’t that little peck that he would give me several times a day, but one that ended up with me straddling his lap and fucking him in the back of that truck.

KJ and I fucked the entire ride home. He put it down on me and I put it down on him as well. When we finally arrived home, I took my shoes off and headed towards the stairs when KJ grabbed me around my waist. I looked back at him as he unzipped my dress from the back. It fell down to the floor. I turned around and faced him. I loved it when he had a bit of alcohol in his system. That made him freakier and I loved a freaky man.

He leaned down and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck. KJ’s arms went around me and he squeezed my ass.
