I was so fuckin embarrassed. All the kids knew that Nico and I had sex and were asking questions. While I brought the food over to the table it was like they kept staring at me. I knew my ass was blushing because I felt hot as hell.

We sat down and ate dinner in silence. Afterwards Nico stayed to help me clean up the kitchen. He kept looking over at me.

“Are you straight?” he asked. “Nico they know” I said. “Okay and? It aint like they never seen us afterwards before. Our kids aren’t stupid Tania. They know what’s going on between the two of us” he said. “Why were they staring at me like that?” I asked. “They were staring at me too Tania. They are probably wondering what’s going on. They want to know if we are having sex just because or if we are having it because we are back together” he said as he leaned up against the sink.

“What are we?” I asked as I looked up at him. “That’s up to you. I told you what I needed to happen in order for me to want you back. It’s happened. It’s all up to you now” he said looking down at me. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to just jump back into something right now. I kind of liked being free. Plus Nico still had that anger issue that he needed to work on.

He walked up to me and rubbed my back. “Look, just take your time. I don’t want to rush you into anything that you might not be ready for. Besides you have to stay stress-free. You need to be ready for when they tell you it’s time for surgery. Just relax” he said giving me a kiss on the cheek. I looked up at him and he gave me that reassuring smile. “It’ll be okay Baby Girl. Don’t worry about nothing” he said hugging me. I just leaned up against him.

“Um…mom…dad. Can we talk?” we heard from behind us. We turned around to see Kaiya, Kaden, Aiden and Savannah standing behind us.

“What’s wrong?” Nico asked. I turned around and looked at the kids.

“Since I’m the oldest I’ll speak up for everybody” Kaden said. “You aint the oldest. I do believe I was born first” Kaiya said. I had to laugh because that girl was full of attitude.

“That may be true but you know boys are smarter than girls, so that makes you dumber by…” he started to say. “Not today. Not today. Cut that shit out. I don’t want to hear it. Everybody in the living room” Nico said. We all walked into the living room and sat down.

“Okay what is going on?” he asked. “Are you guys back together?” they all said at once. Nico and I stared at each other.

“When a couple breaks up. Sometimes they get back together really fast and sometimes they don’t. Just because they get back together quick doesn’t mean that it will always work.
