Rob hadn’t been able to sleep, not with worrying that the fire would die out, which, for Alicia wearing her fur coat probably would be preferable. As a human lying on the faux fur rug on the wooden floor, not. He’d grabbed a pillow and blanket and stretched out on the comfortable couch, ready at a moment’s notice to wake and move her to a bed in case she shifted. Two hours later while he was catching some z’s, he heard her moving a little and opened his eyes, just in time to see her form blurring into that of a human’s. He’d quickly left the couch, expecting the shift to wake her, but it didn’t. She only slightly stirred in his arms when he lifted her off the rug and carried her into his bedroom. For an instant, he’d thought of depositing her in Edward’s bed, but he quickly discounted that notion. She was his responsibility, and he didn’t want to have to worry if she changed back again into a bear, felt disoriented, and he wasn’t there to reassure her.

Besides, he really didn’t want her to leave her scent in his brother’s bed. Rob much preferred smelling her sweet scent in his bed, and wrapping his scent around her that said she was his. She might not appreciate it, though for now, she snuggled closer, her leg propped over his, making him feel as though she was comfortable being with him. He supposed he should have at least worn a pair of boxers, but he had wanted to be prepared if she got all growly with him, and he could shift and deal with a bear better as a bear without having to pause to strip.

He'd noted when he had lifted her, her shoulder was completely healed, which he was grateful for. He just hoped she could hold her form until after he fed her breakfast tomorrow, and longer, of course, but he suspected she’d prefer eating as a human. She was sure to have questions to ask of him too that she couldn’t until she was human again.

He’d had so much fun playing with her as a polar bear in the water that he wanted to do that again if she shifted. He thought they could go exploring also, and he’d show her how she could move as a bear, though he figured she’d learn that on her own quickly enough.

Rob was sleeping soundly when he felt Alicia’s hand caressing his chest. At first, he thought she was just moving in her sleep, yet all his senses were attuned to her and he was hoping she was reaching out to him for more.

She pressed her mouth gently against his shoulder in a soft kiss, stirring his cock to full arousal. He stroked her shoulder, wondering just where she wanted to take this, and was eager to do whatever she wanted.

He kissed her forehead and wrapped his arms around her, hugging her. “How are you feeling?” he asked, his voice low, not wanting to wake her fully if she wasn’t ready to get up.
