Meanwhile, Cedes was in the car with Trigga going back and forth about going to the hospital. Trigga wasn’t too shocked on how she was handling the situation because she had told him about her past. Trigga smiled inside because he got the package deal. Not only was she book smart, but she was street savvy too. He would hate to have to teach a chick how to do the things he felt they should know. They only thing he couldn’t stand about her was that she was stubborn and didn’t take order well. He loved how strong willed and independent she was but hated when she used it on him.

“Babe, I think you should go to the doctor and get checked. It could get infected.” Cedes looked up from her phone and rolled her eyes. She was growing weary of his constant protest for her to go to the doctor.

“I’m fine Travis, okay? I’ll put some rubbing alcohol and peroxide on it. Just take me home please. I have work in the morning.” Cedes didn’t mean to mean too snap at him. She was in the middle of a disagreement with Asia.

Asia: Cedes you’re not being fair! I was there too. I watched him shoot you, how do you think that makes me feel?

Cedes: Sis this isn’t your battle and you’re not about that life. I can handle this.

Asia: My battle? Cedes this isn’t yours either! Trigga and them are supposed to handle this. How do you think he will feel about you busting a gun at an irrelevant nigga?

Cedes had to think about that question. If Trigga found out that it was her ex shooting at them, suspense would arise. She didn’t want Trigga to think she had something going on with Maurice. She also didn’t want him to know that she was plotting to get back at him. Ever since they’d gotten together he seemed to be on a power trip. Everything was ‘I’m your man, let me do it’ with him. Cedes didn’t realize it, but she was on one as well. She failed to let him do the things that a man does for his woman. For the rest of the car ride she was silent. Trigga began to over think.

“I thought you were coming back to the crib, tonight?” he inquired.

“No babe, I’m just going to sleep in my own bed tonight. Besides, you just want some ass.” She smirked. Any other time she would be all for going to his house. Trigga knew something was up. He knew the incident from the club was probably still on her mind. Hell, it was still on his mind. He just hoped that she would come to him about whatever she was thinking about doing.
