We experience God’s best based on our actions of obedience. Unless I know what to do and how to do it, unless I develop the five components of my soul, and unless I develop my thinking, I am not going to release my full potential and maximize my life, no matter how much I love Jesus and no matter how holy I live. Although many people do not wish to view life that way, you cannot argue with the Word of God. The Word says that you will prosper and be in health based upon the way the five components that make your soul prosper, thrive, flourish, or develop.
God has established the principles for prosperity, success, and maximized living. One of the principles for success involves accurate thinking and proper management of one’s thought life. The value of accurate thinking in planning and implementing strategies of success cannot be overestimated.
We are now at an excellent point to look at an example of the importance that God places on accurate thinking. Let’s consider Joshua who spent years being mentored by Moses. Moses was a leader for all times and a man in whose footsteps anyone would be pleased to follow. However, despite the awesome way in which God used Moses, there came a point in time when God informed Joshua, Moses’ protégé, that his future was based on some things that Joshua had to do himself:
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (Joshua 1:7-8)
