God began using all of that effort to mold Natasha’s character with traits such as patience, mercy, and perseverance. She was learning to be content with her daily purposes and to fulfill her day-to-day roles with great joy. She surrendered her past (including her father’s death; her depression and suicide attempt; her ex-husband’s adultery, abuse, bankruptcy, and fraud; her shame, affair, and addiction) and her relationship with her children and with Fred to the Lord for His use.

With a devoted support structure in place and with a return to normalcy and a family routine, Natasha found herself dreaming again of what she wanted to do with her life. But because of her immense gratitude that an ordinary woman from a Third World country could find a fairy-tale ending, her daydreams automatically centered around what she wanted to be and do for God. Then, miraculously, she found herself upgrading her prayers to ask God to reveal what He preferred to do in and through her.

We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
