Karen answers her phone and can hear someone crying. She looks back at the caller ID. “Tia?” she calls out. But she doesn’t answer her. Tia just continues to cry.

“What’s wrong now?” she asks. Then she thinks of Myles call to her earlier.

“You didn’t Tia…”Karen spoke disappointed with her. She knew the game all too well. Myles liked to use women for sex and Tia fell for it every time.

“I’m coming over.” Karen announced. She ends the call after hearing Tia “Okay”.

“This bitch is so stupid. Why do you continue to let this guy play with your heart? I can’t understand it.” Karen mumbles. Because she lived down the street from Tia, it only took her 15 minutes to get to Tia’s house. Karen walks up to knock on the door.

“You know Tia, I don’t even know why I feel sorry for you, but for some reason I can relate to what you’re going through.”

“Myles lied to me. Then he got over here seducing me.” Tia responded feeling taken advantage of.

“It doesn’t feel so good when the shoe is on the other foot, huh?” Karen taunts. Tia returns to sit on the couch. The clock reads close to midnight.

“I know. I’ve been mean to you Karen; and I’m sorry. I never meant to break up what you and Myles had. But the truth is that he kept coming back to me as if he wanted to be with me.” Tia admitted. She played with the Kleenex tissue in her hand.

“I believe you Tia. But why let him back into your life?” Karen asks. Tia shrugs her shoulders before speaking.

“I guess I love him still. Sex maybe... Why did you let him come back?” Tia asks Karen. Karen takes a seat by Tia on the couch taking a sip from the bottle of Alize that Tia had.

“Hell you know why I did it. I was new to the situation. I fell for his tricks and lies, but it got tiresome after a while. No man is worth me losing respect for myself.” Karen says with a smile, hitting Tia lightly on the shoulder. Karen takes off her shoes. It’s girl talk time. Even though she didn’t get along with Tia they were in the same boat; they dealt with a man who had chewed them up and spit them back out.

“You need to start loving yourself Tia. Think about it. If this man loved you and wanted to be with you, he’d stop playing you like he is. That man probably ran out of here so fast his head spun.” Karen advises trying to show empathy.

“His head didn’t have to spin, because my head did it for him.” Tia joked making Karen giggle. “Well how can I be strong like you? He keeps telling me he wants us to be together, then he turns around saying that he no longer does. One minute he is sexing me down, and then the next he’s shutting me out.” Tia answers after taking another sip of the Alize.
