“On the Occasion of My Parting”

How precious a time it has been, to be employed by this Theatre while such exciting and wondrous films were being screened. I was here for fully two years. Just last week I took leave of the Palace, for now. Fleeting are the things of this world, yet I deeply savored all of my days here. I am in your debt, and thankful, for our relationship of such long standing.

I learned a great deal in this stylish and charming Palace over these two years. So many things I will find impossible to forget. The imposing lectern. The green lamp. The brilliant orange of our stage curtain.

Farewell Palace! So long, Big Parade! So long, La Roue!

I’ll remember you always.
