Dehydrate the mixture at 130 degrees F for 20–40 minutes. Lower the temperature to 105 degrees F and continue dehydrating another 6–8 hours or until you can flip the cheese over onto the mesh dehydrator sheet and remove the ParaFlexx sheet. Continue dehydrating another 6–10 hours, or until dry.

At this point, you should be able to crush the cheese into a crumble by hand. Store in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator or freezer.

Dried Herbs

In my opinion, it doesn’t get much better than this when it comes to flavor. It’s great to make your own freshly dried herbs. Talk about healthy and full of flavor! All you have to do is wash your fresh herbs and dehydrate them until thoroughly dry. It’s helpful to place a mesh tray screen on top of the herbs as they dry, so that when they get close to completely dry (and they’re super light in weight) they won’t fly around the inside of the dehydrator as the air blows around.
