Many people have become victims of demonic oppression because of their participation in the New Age movement. I have seen countless individuals in the church experience sickness, mental illness, and even poverty by entertaining New Age spirits. Many people even go as far as to justify their behavior by saying, “But I’m not hurting anyone!” The devil is a liar! God is the only true source of strength, power, healing, and wisdom, and born-again believers who seek these spiritual virtues from any other source are likely to open a doorway to the enemy.

Oftentimes, the New Age movement seems absolutely harmless, but the truth is that it is an insidious portal through which the enemy can enter a believer’s life. Recently, we ministered to a woman whose child had become demonized through her mother’s involvement with energy healing and acupuncture. We have also witnessed people harboring demons of New Age and other forms of false spirituality attempt to infiltrate the local church. These individuals are seen as spiritual and charismatic, due to their sensitivity to the spiritual realm, but they are not serving the Lord Jesus Christ.

Remember, the Bible says that we are not to be in fellowship with demons. (See 1 Corinthians 10:20.) A believer who realizes that he or she has had involvement in the occult should immediately repent, renounce that involvement, and take authority over any ungodly influences that he or she may have entertained, either consciously or unconsciously.

The Lord Jesus is your Deliverer, and He longs to heal and restore you today. Don’t put it off any longer!
