Does this sound familiar? At this time I am suffering so bad I go against my better judgment and again let a doctor sway my good sense and agree to let the nurse do it.

She said for me to turn my head the opposite direction while she started my IV and that she would go slow when administering the Dilaudid because sometimes the Dilaudid is administered too fast and can cause discomfort.

I told her what I felt was not discomfort it had been death. I turned my head and waited, and waited, and waited. I kept feeling sticks in my arm from the needle. Turns out she could not get the IV started. She had to call another nurse who tries several times and she can't get it started.
