Chapter 13: Teresa
I was finishing up eating lunch with my girls who I barely talked to since the club, and boy, were they out of the loop. I caught them up on everything including the incident with his so-called baby mama. They were just like me, they couldn’t believe it. They both just said, “Girl, it’s always the same with every guy you met.” I know deep down that wasn’t true, a part of me wants to believe that he is going to change like he said on his text message, which by the way made me blush even harder. I couldn’t wait to see him, but I just hope he is telling the truth. I got up, threw away my food and the trash and was shocked to see his car. I thought he was on his way to work, but I am glad to see him, since I can't tonight. He got out of his car with a dozen of yellow and pink roses with a teddy bear. I never got that before, I thought. He came to me with a smile and said, “This is for you, my love. It’s a start on showing you how much I want this to really work between us.”
“I appreciate it, thank you, these are pretty and my favorite colors, I love it,” I said as I admired the flowers. So far, so good.
“Well, I have to go to work, and I won’t be able to make it tonight, but I will get something planned for us tomorrow at my place, if you don’t mind,” he said in his sexy voice, that I love. He wrote his address down and said, “Hope to see you there at 8:00pm. I’m getting off early tomorrow anyways, alright?”
I shook my head and said, “Alright, see you then.” He kissed me on my cheeks and I just couldn’t wait for what he had planned for us. Can tomorrow get here fast enough?
I headed back to school with a smile on my face. Nothing can break my high, not even these professors who are going to give out eight pages of homework that’s due in two weeks. I’m an art major, why in the world should I write about the history of art? I just hate art history. “Did this man actually say, write an eight page paper about the importance of art history?” I whispered to Jess. She shook her head in disbelief. At least it’s due in two weeks and not in two days. “However, for tonight and tomorrow’s homework, I want you all to come up with ideas on what you want to write about your other assignment that’s due in a month. You can look in the textbook and decide on what you want to write about. This project is a big project that’s part of your final and it can help with your test too, so if I were you, I would take this seriously.”
Dr. Brown, was a true definition of crazy, not only do I have one project I have two and they both are highly important.
