Keeping Notes

You may not encounter all of the goddesses or gods from your research in activity one of this chapter; and you may find that after doing this exercise for a while, only a few continuously appear to you. What is important is to take note of who they are and what they are telling you about yourself, your work, and your shadow. You may also want to note any changes in their appearance over time. By journaling your thoughts, feelings, and the aspects you encounter, you can make a useful correspondence and reference book of the goddesses and gods for use later on in your work. This can also give you deeper insights on your way to re-emerging into the light.

Remember to compare your notes with your research in activity one of this chapter to see if your feelings and experiences are similar to past meetings with the specific deities. You can also see how your information compares to others who have portrayed the goddesses and gods in the past.

As you continue to do this, make a grid in your journal/binder on a separate page and keep track of who you see, what you are feeling during the times you see them, and any other recurring information, symbols, colors, and items that are associated with them. This will give you a personal correspondence grid for use in later work both in and out of the shadows.
