Saturday came and Cassie was disappointed to know that Eli hadn’t made up his mind about going to the club. Cassie still wanted to go for some reason. She informed him that she was going in case he changed his mind. And since she had a complimentary membership from the owner, she could go by herself.

She paid attention the last time they came to the club to know how to get there on her own. She parked and got out her car. She saw a few people dressed as if they were going to the same place she was going. She hesitated before walking away from her car. She looked around to see if she could spot Sean’s car, a red Challenger.

“Princess.”

Her head snapped in the direction of the voice calling out to her. When she saw him, a big smile spread across her face. She walked in his direction as he met her halfway.

“What are you—” she started but was cut off by him grabbing her by the hand and pulling her along.

“We’re not going in there tonight. You’re coming with me,” he told her.

She didn’t object as he led her to his car. Once she was buckled in his passenger seat she asked, “What about my car?”

“I’ll bring you back to it.”

“Where are we going?” she asked.

“I got us a room. I didn’t feel like dealing with that environment tonight. I hope you don’t mind.”

She shook her head.

“What were you looking for when you got out of your car?”

She smiled. Instead of answering, she asked, “Why are you always somewhere watching me?”

He smiled. “I don’t know.”

She looked over at him. “You’re a trip.”

“Why do you say that?”

“The roses and now this.”

He took her hand in his. That gesture alone gave Cassie butterflies. She was unsure of where all of this was going. It would feel awkward meeting with him somewhere that wasn’t the club. She like the idea of the club, because she could pretend that they were other people. She was his Princess and he was her Maestro. But getting a room, was different.

What she appreciated, was that he didn’t get just any room. They were at the Gaylord Opryland in an executive suite with a view of the open atrium and the Cascades waterfall. The view was awesome. She stood out on the balcony taking it in. And though it was night, it was lit creating a very quiet and tranquil atmosphere.

He came and stood beside her. His presence next to her sent a chill through her body causing the hairs on arms to stand.

“Have you ever been here before?” he asked.

“Not in one of these rooms,” she said in amazement. Her eyes sparkled. “I mean, I’ve walked through the gardens before but never been up here.”

“You haven’t done much have you, Princess?”

She blushed every time he referred to her as that. She shook her head. “No, not really. I always said when I get my shit together, I was gonna start doing things. Living for me.
