Unfortunately, despite the depth of Evan’s preparation, he is about to make a very big mistake. He’s going to buy 1000 shares of a great company with bulletproof fundamentals. But over the next year, Evan is going to take a very different kind of loss than Dietrich did. It will not be from money actually lost but rather from a lot of money Evan otherwise could have made. You see, over the next year, the sector in which Evan’s latest stock is in is going to simply tread water while other fundamentally great companies in other much more robust sectors are going to go on to reach new highs.
