Quit Night

When you wake up the first morning: You will have already had six to eight hours of abstinence from nicotine. You quit just before falling asleep. Today you may be facing long periods of enforced smoking cessation, for example, at work. This can result in an easier first day. You probably have been used to going three to four hours without a break. You will need to especially prepare for your breaks without a cigarette. Anticipate those breaks. Breaks can be a trigger!

Celebrate! Do not take on the attitude

of a victim or someone deprived.

You are not being deprived

you are being prolonged, right?

Now the fun begins . . .

1. Go through a ritual of a smoke-scrubbing shower: scrub it off!

2. Shampoo your hair.

3. Brush your teeth.

4. Look in the mirror and say it out loud: “I Don’t Smoke!” (Check your watch . . . you are starting to train your brain . . . )
