A Terrific Tomorrow

How bright does your future look? God has plans for your future that are so bright you’d be wise to bring several pairs of sunglasses and a lifetime supply of sunblock!

Still, the way you think about your future will play an important role in how your future unfolds. The phenomenon is called the “self-fulfilling prophecy”—what you predict will happen leads you to act in a certain way that causes that thing to happen.

Are you expecting a terrific tomorrow, or are you dreading a terrible one? The way you answer that question will also influence the way you act, and those actions can have a powerful impact on the way tomorrow unfolds.

Today, as you look to the future and make choices about how to live in the present, remember that God has an amazing plan for you. Act—and believe—accordingly. And don’t forget the sunblock.

The future is as bright as the promises of God.
