Child abuse. It’s so predictable… and so preventable.

How could this be happening?

We all recoil in horror when we hear of another child who is molested by a selfish and uncontrolled adult predator. We weep for the little boy or girl. We hurt for them, knowing they will grow up with these scars, and that it will affect every relationship they have for the rest of their lives.

And the physical effects —some children are given incurable STDs by these monsters! What child deserves that? The molester behaves in a depraved and sick manner, ignoring the consequences of his or her actions. And it is the children who suffer.

It is like these molesters are in a completely different world from the rest of us. But what causes this horrible state of mind? One of the main causes is pornography.

People claim reading and viewing pornography is a “victimless crime.” But look where it can lead.

Judith Reisman carefully researched and wrote a book on this subject: “Soft Porn” Plays Hardball.[1] In it she shows how Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler and others are written and drawn (they have comics in them, too) taking away the value from children and using them as actual "sex objects" to be used and abused by adults. Here is just one example from Hustler:

• Dwaine Tinsley, creator of the comic “Chester the Molester,” wrote 145 child abuse cartoons during the 1980s “with child abuse and rape as the overriding theme.” In an interview he claimed:

I don’t think I was legitimizing child molesting. Chester was just a goofy kinda guy.[2]
