The Power of Agreement

We have discovered that there is nothing more powerful than when we stand in agreement. The Bible says that when we are in unity or in agreement with each other, God commands a blessing. “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity” (Ps. 133:1). A few verses later, we are promised what will happen when we live in agreement: “For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore” (Ps. 133:3). When we choose to submit to each other and live in unity, God promises us a blessing!

We want to encourage you to fight for unity within your marriage. Perhaps it’s been a long time since you walked in agreement. There is hope because nothing is impossible with God.

Regardless of where you may find your marriage today, remind yourself of Ezekiel and the valley of dry bones when you face an impossible situation. Don’t fall into a trap as we did. Declare how big your God is instead of describing how bad your situation is. We will always face challenges in our marriages, but our hope is found in the God who spoke galaxies into existence. His Word brings life and His desire is to make your marriage stronger than it’s ever been.

When you keep Jesus at the center of your life, there is hope for your marriage!
