Lou

Iknew these two fucking cops was going to start with their bullshit the minute they walked in the room. If they thought I was about to sell out Asaad and Chinx they had another thing coming. One thing my mother always told me was to never snitch, karma would come back ten times worse. Looking past them, I shook my head at my father, who clearly didn’t budge. Rolling my head on my shoulder, I reached for the cup of water on the table.

“Lucy, I hope you can help us catch he the guys who did this to you and a Hassel.”

“What did they do to Hassel?” I mean, I knew they shot him but shit the nigga survived the last shooting he was mixed up in like he had nine lives or something.

“He was murdered and found in front of his mother's house.” My eyes widened with shock, I figured Asaad and Chinx were ruthless, but I ain’t expect them to be this fucking sick. Yeah, that bastard had some questions to answer, I thought looking back at the cop.

“No, I honestly don’t know who was after us, I mean besides the crew he had been around lately, I’m not sure.” Putting on my best award winning Oscar performance, I forced the tears out of my eyes. Giving it my all, I sniffed choking back. Lifting my hand to my nose, I shook my head slowly. “I need to see my fiancé.” If looks could kill, I’m sure my father would be strangling the life out of me right now. “Okay Lucy, we’re sorry. I’m sure we can get you that information to go and see your fiancé.” Digging into his pocket, he removed a card. “If you happen to remember anything or something pops up, just give us a call, please.”

Nodding my head in agreeance, I took the card from his hand. Sliding it on the table by the bed, I watched them leave out.

“I’m not them naive sheriffs, so get to talking Lucy!” My father grabbed the chair with one hand, sitting in it. Cocking his legs open, he cracked his knuckles like he always did when he was serious. Looking away to avoid eye contact, he reached over and popped my hand. “What the fuck happened?”

“Daddy, I don’t know. Damn, did you not hear me tell the officers that?”

“Don’t fucking play with me little girl, you done scared me and Misha.”

Laying back on the bed I held onto my stomach. The painkillers they gave me were starting to wear off and he was now giving me a headache.

“Listen, I know you know I’m not playing; you better be telling me every fucking thing.”

“Oh, like you been telling me every fucking thing?” Shaking my head from side to side for emphasis on how he was moving, I continued, “I saw you looking on the paper that I showed you with the names of the guys in my house,
