Hanna

Morning sunlight filters through the curtain, waking me from a dream in which I was dancing in a field of flowers–completely naked. It was a strange, but nice dream and I slowly sit up, my entire body sore. The memory of last night comes flooding back into my brain and I smile as I recall the gentle way he touched me, how I came apart feeling as though I was floating on a cloud.

I knew he was different but last night opened my eyes to how truly different he is. Despite how hard I had worked to keep myself closed off, Jellal broke down my walls one brick at a time.

I glance around to see where he is, hoping for some early morning cuddles but he’s nowhere in sight. “Jellal?” I call out.

No response. I start to panic, wondering if he left. Was he disgusted by me? Did he change his mind?

I can’t help the onslaught of emotions that threaten to drown me. My heart is aching and I’m trembling. I knew it. It was all too good to be true. He’s going to leave me.

Before my panic can make me shut down, the door creaks open and I see Jellal’s face light up as he enters the room. I find myself blushing in embarrassment. Well. I was getting myself all worked up over nothing.

“Hello, darling,” he says, bringing a tray with him. It’s full of delicious looking foods and there’s even a steaming mug of coffee. His handsome face never ceases to make me smile.

“Hello, yourself,” I say, sitting back against the headboard so he can place the tray across my lap. “I may have gotten a little worried when I didn’t see you this morning,” I admit with a cringe.

“I’m sorry,” he chuckles lightly. “I wanted to make you breakfast. Last night was so good, I just wanted to show you how much I appreciate you.”

“That’s so sweet.” My eyes crinkle in delight. “Well, let’s not let your hard work go to waste.” I dig into the food with gusto, praising the way he cooked it all so perfectly. It truly is delicious.

“How are you doing?” He looks at me with a little anxiety. “Are you okay?”

“I’m great.” I stuff a bite of egg into my mouth. “A little sore, but great.” I never knew how mind-blowing sex could be until last night. It was eye-opening.

“Are you sure? I wasn’t too rough? Too forceful?” His anxiety is almost cute, but I don’t want him to stress out.

“Really,” I insist, trying to quell his anxieties. “I’m fine. It felt…so unbelievably good. You made me feel amazing.”

He examines me with a critical eye though, still worried despite my reassurance.

“You can look me over after breakfast,” I say. “I promise. Now come on, let’s eat,” I push the plate towards him and he takes a reluctant bite before grinning, worries forgotten in favor of mouth-watering good food.

“See?” I tease. “No need to stress when there’s food to be eaten.”
