It was really happening.

If Pedro hadn’t bitten her lip in passion, she might have done it herself just to make sure she wasn’t dreaming.

Now that she had his shirt off, Maria was exploring the hard sinew of his chest with her fingertips. Although she’d fantasized about this moment off and on for years, she’d never actually expected it to happen. He’d simply been her ideal man, her unattainable crush.

Up close, she could smell his masculinity, and it wasn’t just the cologne he wore. There was something primal about him that spoke to her without words—his scent, the way he felt up against her, the heat pouring off his body.

And his voice…something about it had changed. After their first kiss, the way he’d said her name was almost a growl but it felt like he was pleading with her.

He didn’t need to beg. He could have her, all of her. Until this moment, she hadn’t realized that she’d always belonged to him.
